Ganesh

Posted by Picasa Ganesh is the lord of success, and the destroyer of evils and obstacles. He is also the God of education, knowledge, wisdom and wealth. He is my grandmother's favorite Hindu God.
According to certain sources, Ganesh's elephant head symbolizes the soul or Atman, and the shape of his trunk represents om, the symbol of cosmic reality. His human body represents maya or the earthly existence of humans

Om Shaantih Shaantih Shaantih.

O Lord Lead me from the unreal to the real.
Lead me from the darkness to light.
Lead me from death to immortality.
May there be peace, peace, and perfect peace.
