Candy Cane Lane

I'm staying at my Dad's place on a street dubbed "Candycane Lane", where all the neigbours are forced to put up unreasonably large amounts of Christmas Lights up all over their house and yards. Buses filled with senior citizens drive by slowly so the passengers can stare and gape at the sight. I go to the malls and hordes of people spend and push and shove and mill around like swarms of insects. My heart feels sad about this somehow, but why?

Just wait til me and Julia get there, we can all dress up in elf costumes and wave at the tour buses from the front lawn. That's always a sure way to cure the Christmas blues.

Or else, I say we start handing out spiked eggnog and cider. Heh heh heh, that'll get everyone into the Christmas spirit...
