Tribute to Kitty

What can I say? Kitty is the most respectable low maintenance man I've ever come across. He's accepted me as his mom, answers to my calls, and pays no attention to my eccentricities. What more could you ask for in a housemate?

be braver!

We're not getting any smarter.

One of the biggest problems with our generation is the lack of role models or strong political leaders that advocate for our own beliefs and values. Ask yourself this question: what is the most efficient way to spread information in this era? Media, whether it be on the internet or on the television. Who do you see when you turn on the TV? Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Americas next supermodels or some shit like that.
I know you would say, well I don't watch tv. Well neither do I but what good is looking to ourselves or to our group of friends when it becomes so self contained that there is no chance of any ideas being propagated outwardly?Who do you look to for purpose?

Underground forms of art become more abstract and subjective, like a rebellion against the mathematical logical technological world that we're becoming more and more dependent on. But an abstract rebellion, though beneficial, simply promotes our own individuality and is too vague to inspire any one to take charge of the looming problems that we need to deal with right now.

To be a martyr you need to give up your body and your spirit. For it to really mean something, you have to give up everything. Look at Gandhi, who literally used his body as a vessel for communicating a message.

Now ask yourself this, who do you know in our generation that would be willing to do this. It goes against our increasingly individualistic values. I would do it for myself or maybe even a close friend, but not for all of you.
